Forbidden Love Takes a Fall

By: Chantelly Lace

There of, the two young lovers Romeo and Juliet are dead. The events leading to this tragic event all began in Verona Beach. Romeo a 16 year old Montague boy and his friends crashed their adversary's party. An inside source said that is where he first met his love, Juliet a 12 year old Capulet girl. After the lover's meeting many conflicts occurred because the next day Romeo was confronted by Juliet's cousin Tybalt, in the plaza. Some say Tybalt was upset that a Montague crashed a Capulet party and wanted to lead to physical confrontation but Romeo refused and his best friend Mercutio fought for Romeo, and was killed by Tybalt. Mercutio's blood shed left Romeo outraged and he avenged his friend's death by killing Tybalt. It has been documented that Romeo's ill-considered actions led the Prince to banish Romeo from Verona and if he were to return the penalty would be death. On top of that it had been said that Lord Capulet promised Paris (the cousin of the Prince) Juliet, his daughter's hand in marriage. Hearing this Juliet ran away and went to the friar for help. The friar later admitted he gave Juliet a potion to make her fall into a deep sleep and make her appear to be dead and he sent Romeo a note to come and get Juliet when she woke. Juliet was announced dead just two weeks ago. However, there was a fault in the Friar's plan the messenger he sent was not able to find Romeo and when Romeo was told by his cousin Juliet was dead and he really believed it. Romeo was said to be seen mourning in Juliet's grave when he decided the pain was too much and took poison to end his own life. Mourners came back to Juliet's grave one last time and said they found Juliet lying next to Romeo and a dagger in her heart. Thus putting an end to the Star-Crossed Lovers.

Romeo's Profile:
Name: Romeo Montague
Age: 16
About Romeo and his relationships:
Lord Montage was the proud father of Romeo along with Lady Montague the proud mother of her son and they did not know that there Romeo was in love with a Capulet. They both agree that Romeo was a good boy but rebelled at times. Benvolio not only cousin but good friend of Romeo and he was deeply hurt from his cousin's death.

Juliet's Profile:
Name: Juliet Capulet
Age: 12
About Juliet and her relationships:
Lord Capulet was proud father of Juliet along with Lady Capulet the mother of Juliet. They always felt that Juliet was an obedient child but were very disappointed that she would not marry Paris. Nurse the caretaker of Juliet loved Juliet very much.

The Nurse was thoroughly involved in this whole juncture. She was interviewed and told everything! "It is not my fault I say! I knew this infamous Romeo was trouble with all the sneaking around. No good was going to come from their relationship. I told her to just unlearn Romeo and settle for Paris and we could just move forth with our lives. No one had to know she had married Romeo we could have disregarded their marriage and put this mess behind us. But instead she deified yet again (weeping) and left me here to clean up all the pieces. I never would have helped her if I knew so many lives would be lost."

Benvolio cousin of Romeo was also interviewed and he claimed to know nothing of this secret marriage. However, he told what he knew. " I was worried about Romeo he was previously heartbroken by his ex-girlfriend Rosalind. After we crashed the Capulet party Romeo just seemed kind of distant. I could see a change in him the last time I saw him which was in the plaza. When Tybalt told him to fight he refused which was no surprise, Romeo was never really concerned about the whole the Montague versus the Capulet household like the rest of us. This whole affair only gives us all the more reason to hate those imbecile Capulets. But my cousin's death changed my outlook on the situation; I've come to the conclusion that there is no need for the battle to continue."

The Consequences
At the trail the whole town showed and the courtyard was split right down the middle; Capulet side and Montague side. It was really noisy the adults were outraged and arguing amongst themselves.
When the Prince finally came to give them their punishment something miraculous happened. All of the teenagers crossed over to the other side of the courtyard. The Prince was baffled and asked "Why do you young ones cross sides? Why do you not quarrel and bite your thumb at each other?" A smaller boy, Balthasar answered out, " We have learned our lesson and we no longer wish to quarrel with each other." The courtyard was silent. When the unthinkable happened Lord Montague and Lord Capulet met in the middle of the courtyard and shook hands! The simple gesture was enough for the Prince, " I can see you have found a common ground. So I have decided to pardon this trail and we will live in peace from now on."
